In addition to public sources of supply, we consistently commit considerable capital to building global captive supply—our retail box, internal supply, fully paid client positions and exclusive relationships with institutional long-only investment firms—all of which is available to clients. Exclusives are specifically targeted for hard-to-borrow securities sought by clients as well as for stability and breadth of supply.
Our never-ending quest to locate, transact and facilitate short sales for clients is supported by a global technology system that is active 24/7 in seven locations throughout the world: New York, London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney and San Francisco. Our proprietary book management system optimizes availability and source characteristics to find the most stable and diverse supply for our clients, while our unique market color tools highlight trends and provide timely analytics.
