Institutional Equity Institutional Equity Morgan Stanley is a global leader in the origination, distribution and trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. Operating in more than 25 countries, the depth and breadth of the Firm’s equity sales and trading operations ensure liquidity and provide sophisticated analytics for companies and investors throughout the world. The Consolidated Equities Division provides key services to its clients: Sales and Trading offers cash and electronic trading platforms where Morgan Stanley acts as principal (including as a market maker) and agent in executing transactions globally in equity and equity-related products, which include equity swaps, options, warrants and futures overlying individual securities, indices and baskets of securities and other equity-related products. Equity Financing Services, including prime brokerage, offers consolidated clearance and settlement of securities trades, custody, financing and portfolio reporting services. Morgan Stanley also acts as principal and agent in stock borrowing and stock lending transactions in support of its global trading and brokerage, asset management and clearing activities and as an intermediary between broker-dealers. Quantitative Strategies The Quantitative and Derivative Strategies (QDS) Group is a team of professionals whose mission is to provide the highest quality quantitative investment analysis and service to Morgan Stanley Institutional Equity Division (IED) clients.  |
